Katie | Blossoming Beauty

Once naked and stripped trees now stood magically clothed in delicate beauty.

It was amazing really, how though silent, they beckoned attention. The kind full of wonder. The kind a passerby couldn’t ignore, couldn’t saunter by without a word. It was the kind that during winter seemed ordinary, familiar. Yet something so unspeakably beautiful was growing, was maturing inside. And at the sweetest, most unforeseen moment it’s exquisite flowers would bud and take the world by surprise.

On dreary, drizzly mornings like this one–not even the sky could stop the beholder from coming. The clouds leaked and spattered and cried, but something about the wonder of the pink, white and creamy array cast its spell.

Like the tree, she carried herself quietly but drew gazes all around. Her smile so generously shared, her laugh so sweetly given. Yet something about her demanded attention. Not the obnoxious kind, but the I must get to know her kind. She was anything but ordinary. And as she welcomed you as her friend, you began to catch a glimpse of the woman that was maturing, that was blossoming inside. The one that everyone knows will take the world by surprise. The one rainy, sad, blue days could not strip the color of because she paints them beautiful wherever she goes.
