Jamie + Phil Engagement | Shawnee Mission Park
The first time I met Jamie and Phil was in Panera. We were having a client consultation–getting to know each other, seeing if our personalities were a good match for their wedding! One of the most vivid things I remember is the way Jamie and Phil looked at each other. It was adoring and doting and all kinds of delighting just being with each other! You couldn’t miss it! The other things I remember are 1) The amount of times we laughed through the meeting and 2) The conversation about their decision to get another puppy!! A BOXER puppy people!!!
I know theft is wrong, but when I got out of my car at their engagement shoot and saw Jamie and Phil’s newest member of the family (They did it! They got their sweet Boxer pup and boy my heart was doing all kinds of melting!) I wanted to steal her so she could be Moose (OUR five month old Boxer’s) girlfriend!! Don’t worry, my conscious got the best of me, and I restrained myself….but that’s not to say I didn’t spend the first 30 minutes of their pictures talking in puppy voices and letting Luna lick my face! 😉
What I love about Jamie and Phil is the way they are head over heels for each other! At the switch of outfits Jamie looked to her fiance and told him how handsome he was. (You better believe I was smiling like a fool watching them!) When I instructed Phil to pull his bride to be in for a kiss, he brought her close like there was no tomorrow and dipped her down! That is the kind of love that I can’t help but get excited about!!!! Jamie and Phil–if these were just your engagement pictures–the genuine love you had for each other that bubbled over–I can’t even imagine what your wedding day will be like!!! I cannot WAIT to be there to capture it!
