This is year three of me taking pictures for the Harris family! I was just telling Michael yesterday how much I LOVE having clients (and by clients I mean clients who have become friends), return over and over!!! It allows that one time interaction to develop into a friendship, into doing life with people! Watching families grow up and grow together! And not only have me know them, but they know me!!! During our session together, Georgia was asking how my sister was doing and when she was due! Jonathan wanted to know about mine and Michael’s new home and how we’re enjoying it!! I mean–does a job even get better than this???

The last couple years we had taken pictures at sunset, but this year we opted for a sunrise session! And oh how the soft morning glow didn’t disappoint!!!! The oversized steps and giant columns perfectly paired with the Harris’ formal blue bowtie and long dress! The grounds were quiet except for a few runners here and there. We ventured over to the grass where the reflection of the morning sunrise hit the large windows! I could have stayed in this spot a long time….well, if the sprinklers hadn’t gone off!!! You think I’m joking! I’m not even!!!! As we were setting up a new pose we heard a little hissing sound then pop, pop, pop!! And in a matter of seconds the water was spraying all around us!! Georgia took off letting out a loud squeal! (All I can say is I was impressed by how fast she moved in her heels!!!) John was laughing at his parents getting wet–probably because he was sitting safely on the sidelines! We laughed and moved to our final spot. As we walked over, I loved hearing Georgia’s contagious laughter! A truly joyful soul!

Harris family, I’m SO grateful for the ability to continue our friendship through the years!!
