Katy and Nick are easily some of the sweetest people I’ve met!! We were introduced less than a year ago and after the first time we talked, I had a feeling Katy and I would get along!!! It was confirmed after our two hour coffee venture downtown with no agenda and no rush getting home!!! And if there was even the slightest doubt, it was put to rest after Katy and Nick came to dinner at our place! (I mean great conversation over homemade spaghetti and meatballs?! I say yes please!!)

There is so much I could share about them–like how their little guys name will be Parker or how they are from Colorado too. (Go Broncos!!! Sorry if you’re reading this Michael…) I could tell you about Nick and his even keel personality or how they named their dog Dundee after The Office! (Told you we’d get along!) I could share about Katys great sense of style or how easy they were in front of the camera. Or how we searched high and low for a unique location for their pictures and found this hidden gem–a sweet woman from our churches land! Or how it was raining as we drove over but stopped literally 10 minutes into the session to give us a gorgeous Fall evening!!! But instead I’ll share this…..

Katy and Nick, I can’t even begin to express how excited I am for you both! For this adventure you’re about to embark on. For the new title of parents that you will become! I hope you both know that Michael and I are here for you in whatever ways you might need….meals right after Parker is born or maybe a date night out for a little break…you just say the word and we’re there for you! With family farther away, know that there are people here who have got your back. Know that you aren’t alone. Know that we are praying for you both and for your little guy. Know that you have friends right here when you need us…
