Sleepy Morning Skies | Sediqzad Family

The sleepy morning sky hesitated to rise. Warm in the blankets of night, tucked snugly in its bed. The morning air was chilled, bringing tell signs that winter was on its way. Slowly, light rose. One ray at a time. Illuminating the vast gray sky that stretched around the corners of the earth.

Underneath the rousing sky was a family of four, eager for the warmth that the wakening light would give them. Brothers, just years apart in age. One with leather elbow patches and the other in deep mustard tones. Fingers cold from the crisp air, but bodies satisfied in the deep embrace of their parents–too young yet to understand the measure of comfort and shelter those arms gave. The embering leaves glowed with warmth that crisp Fall morning. They seared the line of rich, full trees–burning what seemed like the tips of the sky, floating down to light the ground beneath them. Trees and leaves and family of four…all there under the sleepy morning sky.
