Just him and her and miles of country.
Fall slipped away and winter crept its way into the temperatures. But she didn’t seem to mind as his arms surrounded her to keep her warm. Old wood from the tall, tattered barn stood behind them. Blanket around them.
Trees slowly lost their autumn glow but left behind a trail of gold beneath their feet.
The sun slipped silently, slowly beneath the horizon. Another day done. Another day closer to the day they’ll say I do and spend forever together–just him and her and miles of country.
