In a small town, tucked back far into the rolling country, they would start their forever together.
Skies spread a thick gray covering, stretching from one corner of the heavens to the other, but it didn’t matter.
Today she would be his.
The soft sounds of rain stopped as their day began.
It was perfect.
Full, lush trees stretched high into the gray canopy. They filled the countryside, on every hill within eyes view. The small brick chapel stood off the sleepy town road. But inside, friends and family gathered & filled every last pew, ready to watch them commit their last breath–and every one in between–to the other.
This was it.
This was their day.
Today–this clouded, wondrous day–was theirs.
