It was easy to see from the moment we met–they let love fill the spaces.
The way their daughter blossomed in their presence. The quiet confidence she had that only unhindered affection could draw out of a small soul. The way she looked at them, hugged them, held their hands. She was safe and shielded, secure and sound.
And she knew it.
Settling deep down in her little heart. And though words at her age and complete comprehension lacked, her actions said all the words her vocabulary could not.
She was loved.
Fully and completely.
Wholly and thoroughly.
All together and absolutely.
Love filled the spaces.
