In strength they stepped forward.
Four in number but one in unison knowing full well the power of hand in hand. With one another they had courage and capacity, grace and love.
The last golden strands of light lingered alongside the water. They caught the reflection and danced around their family. Two boys, mom and dad. Light seemed to know (as they all did) the treasure in time and tiny hearts and togetherness.
No one else around.
Just them and the memories they were making as one.
They laughed and explored and let littles be little.
And when the evening ended and light wiped her sleepy eyes, love wrapped their arms around their boys and knew today was ending but there would be more grace, more strength and more love as tomorrow dawned.
