Oliver | Downtown Summer Pictures at Concourse Park

Brad and Anna are Michael’s aunt and uncle! Gosh, I don’t even know where to begin. So I’ll start wayyyy back.

When you’re dating someone, meeting the extended family can be a little intimidating. (One day I’ll share the story of Michael’s experience with mine! Eek! Haha, if you guessed that it included fake country hick getups and accents you might be on the right track. Let’s just say that he had it a lot worse than I did! Good thing he liked me!) Anyways, the first time I met his side of the family was during a KU basketball game. There was a taco bar, lots of laughing, lounging on the couch and cheering. If there is one thing that you need to know about Michael’s family, it is is that they are CLOSE! (Okay, and they are kind and they are fun and they make a heck of a good food get up!) Any time there is remotely a reason to get together everyone shows up!!! It’s no joke! Birthday’s, mother’s day, sports games–you name it! Usually there is smoked meat involved because let’s face it, we’re in Kansas here people! It didn’t take long at all for me to feel at home.

When you are a part of the family–you are their people. They have your back. No matter what. I don’t know how many times Moose has stayed at Brad and Anna’s house when we’ve been out of town. They’ve watched him, let him run in their big yard with their dogs, taken pictures of him being well loved by the cousins and made sure we knew he was taken care of (which we didn’t doubt in the first place!) We affectionately call it “Camp Oliver!” 😉 Brad has the biggest servants heart! When we moved here he was there–truck in tow and ready to load and unload whatever we needed. And then there again when we moved THIS year! You can’t keep him away! Anna is so easy to talk to, has the most kind spirit & makes one heck of a Texas Sheet Cake! (Seriously, ask her to make one for you one day!) Delaney and Eliana became my easy friends. I knew no matter what crazy story I had to share they would love me the same! (And they totally get my love of Instagram!) Corbett is headed off to college this Fall–so combine all of these things and there was no better time to take pictures than this summer!!!

Oliver family–I love you guys so much and can’t tell you how thankful I am that God saw fit that I got to be a part of the family!!!!!!!
