Sometimes words aren’t needed to know what’s in a persons heart.
Sometimes a glance into their spirit is all it takes.
And this particular night the glance was mine. I saw two souls so full that when they smiled happiness spilled from their eyes. Two hearts uniquely individual yet somehow so identical to the other one that stood beside them. Something new, something exhilarating, invigorating was moving towards them. A new journey. This time not alone, but together. Hand in hand. They had the foundation and now it was time to build. Up, strong. Something firm, solid, secure. Something together.
Over the skyline and through the buildings, windows of cobalt and aqua sharply framed the rain clouds that moved quietly–swiftly, towards them. Her cream lace-edged dressed brushed her knees as the air danced around them. Accents of fuchsia, blush, coral and soft teals combined to make a mesmerizing pattern. When she spoke, she spoke of him. When he laughed, he laughed with her. When they danced, they danced together.
Then I realized it.
This was their spirit.
Hidden within the other.
