“I love you so much,” she whispered under her breath as if those five words were the most natural to say. Over and over with a silent smile and often ending in a kiss, she said them.
Her baby.
Healthy and here.
Love filled the room, filled their home.
No lack thereof.
And then him…small and new, unaware of this gift he called his own.
Two parents that loved him, that cared for him.
“I love you so much,” she said again.
And I wondered what it will be like when one day (in the not so distant future)…he says those five words back to her.
