A Rustic Wedding | Lodge at Ironwoods

If we’re being honest, the few minutes before I walk in to meet my future brides I always get a little nervous. Excited and ready–but nervous. I parked my car and walked into Starbucks eager to meet Brooke and her mom. Each email I received from Brooke was so fun, so laid back (my first clue that I was going to enjoy being a part of her wedding!) And as soon as I met her, all hypotheticals were confirmed!

We talked through her timeline, the details of her wedding day. She told me about how she lost her engagement ring (and found it again a couple weeks before the wedding!!! No joke!) We drank coffee (of course) and got to know each other. Right from the start I liked Brooke!

June 27th rolled around and it was beautiful! The week before it down poured (like Noah and the ark downpour!) and the week after the temperature was in the high 90’s. But not this day people! June 27th was perfect! Brooke was so easy going, soaking up each moment, spending time personally putting on each bridesmaids necklace. She was completely in the moment–exactly as a bride should be on her wedding day!

I LOVED getting to know the whole Frazier family! See, Michael has been best friends with Brooke’s older brother (Cody) since they were in elementary school. The Frazier’s are some of the most kind, most welcoming people I’ve met! Cody has been one of Michael’s most loyal friends–I know if he ever needed anything he could call Cody and in an instant Cody would get into his car and drive from Florida to be at his side. And being a part of a wedding with so many amazing family members with these same traits is incredible!

After meeting Trent, I knew he was going to be a perfect fit into the family! He loved to make Brooke laugh (which made portraits SO easy!) He held her hand, looked at her–his beautiful bride! Trent was so easy to be around (and when asked if he had any pictures that he wanted, his response was “Whatever Brooke wants!” What a smart man!)

I wish every couple I photograph could be as easy going as these two!! Brooke and Trent–THANK YOU for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding!!!!!!

Brooke’s laugh was so contagious!!! She made it SO easy to take her picture!!!

I mean–COME ON! How beautiful is THIS!?

What an absolutely stunning group of bridesmaids!!!

I LOVE this moment between the mother of the bride and her two sons!

Bottom right: I got teared up at this moment in the ceremony. Both Brooke and Trent’s parents gathered around them and prayed over them as they started their new life together!

Bottom left: I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!! Brooke’s reaction when they were officially pronounced man and wife!!!!

Brother sandwich!!!!!!

GAH! This is hands down my favorite black and white from the whole day!!! You two are rocking it!!!

While the guests ate dinner we slipped away to take some sunset portrait pictures. The lighting combined with this glorious field was TO DIE FOR!

Could this get more beautiful!?!?!
