Kansas City Wedding Florist Wild Hill Flowers | Vendor Featured Post

As I’ve dug deep into the heart of my business, I realized something. I knew (probably most clearly) that I wanted all my clients to walk away with images that they would love and cherish. Photos that make them feel, relive and treasure their moments. But as I went further down and further into the center of my dreams for my clients, I realized that yes–that was true–but that there was also so much more! I wanted my couples to be seen and celebrated! I wanted them to walk away with not only images that they loved, but an experience that they loved equally as much. And sometimes that takes the form of something very practical.

Like connection.

Planning and preparing for a wedding is something that is so overwhelming! So many details to hash through and organize! So many boxes that need checked! And as my profession has connected my space of the world with theirs I realized that I could be a small link in my couples planning process! And so—the featured blog posts were born!!! I want this to be a place where my brides can come to look for help during their planning and booking process! So I’ll be featuring wedding vendors throughout the Kansas City area! You’ll get to know them personally, pull back the curtains and peek into their life! To hear from them their passion, their why!

I am so happy to introduce the first of many posts like this!

This week I have an incredible wedding vendor to introduce to you! I’ve not only gotten the privilege to work with Jenni on a professional basis, but have gotten to know her over a cup of coffee as well as see her incredibly gorgeous workshop she just built! She is such a sweet soul—so kind and incredibly passionate about florals and making weddings beautiful! May I introduce Jenni from Wild Hill Flowers….I promise if you hire her you will not be disappointed!!!

Where were you born and what brought you to Kansas City?
“I was actually born in New Hampshire, but only lived there a few months while my dad finished his graduate degree. My parents moved to Spring Hill when I was young and we have been here ever since. My husband and I built our home on his family’s land a few years ago.”

On your days off, what is your favorite way to spend your time?
“On my days off, my favorite way to spend my time is with my husband and five year old daughter, Katie just hanging out at home. We live in the country and have 6 dogs, 2 cats, horses and goats – so there is always something fun to do with my animals – my other love.”

What was your degree in?
“I graduated from Kansas State with a degree in Apparel Marketing in 2006.”

What other hobbies do you have?
“In addition to flowers, I am active in animal rescue and would love to one day open my own. I love animals so much and love to support the rescue efforts in Kansas City.”
What is your favorite part about being a florist?
“My favorite part of floral is getting to know each bride’s individual style/vision. I love working with them through the creative process and then seeing it all come together on the big day is so rewarding! I truly love my brides and their families!”

If there is one thing that you could tell your clients (or future clients) what would it be and why?
“The one thing I would tell my clients and always try to remind them during the process is, it’s their day and I don’t believe in rules of what they should do with their floral. Every bride is different and has unique style and priorities for floral, so I always tell them to find their inspiration images, just do whatever they love the most and it always turns out beautiful!”

How long have you been a florist?
“I have been doing floral for several years but I have been in the wedding industry officially as a business with Wild Hill for 4 years. I am thankful to my amazing clients and look forward to the future of Wild Hill, especially after the past 6 months getting settled in our new studio!”
