Where Words Fail | Moser Family

How do you begin when there are no words?

Know whatever falls from my heart to this page…it isn’t enough.

There is something overwhelmingly beautiful in the way that God sees hearts and paths and pains and heartache and joys and empty places within our souls–then in the depth of His love for His children and care for them….brings lives and families together. And still more stunning is the way that He weaves those lives closer together even though distance draws them apart.

What started years ago as a conversation over coffee grew deeper than I thought possible. In a season of loneliness God gave me Kareen. A sister. A friend whose tender heart and contagious laugh touches more than she knows. Whose beauty and grace from everyone’s else’s vantage point somehow only skimmed the surface of the beauty refined so brilliantly within her. When she listens, she listens intently. Closely. Because she cares not just about your circumstance but your feelings through it all. She’s thoughtful and seeks out ways to love you where you are. She doesn’t try to fix your pain, but steps into it with you. She sees her kids. Each one. She understands their differences and personalities and with an excitement and care only a mother can have, she talks about them with warmth as she waits to see what they will each become.

To find a friend like Nathan is a rare thing. Consistently through years of unknown and growth he came alongside Michael. In God’s perfect timing He brought the Moser’s to the same church we had just started attending. Sometimes I wonder if He smiled and thought, “Watch this good thing I’m about to do.” He’s a man of encouragement. He sees each season Michael is in and meets him there with words that build him up and challenge him on. Though now states away, he regularly calls Michael to see how he’s doing. A rare friend indeed.

I’ve watched them together raise five kids. Been a part of their routine. Their everyday. Seen how they function. Walked through heartache alongside them. Rejoiced in new seasons with them. From Chase all the way down to little Winnie I’ve seen how they all love Jesus. How there’s courage and sweetness and vivacity and simplicity and kindness woven within their family unit.

And still after all this my sweet Moser family….
Words still fail.
