Table Setting Inspiration | For the Bride Planning Her Wedding

For all my sweet brides who are visual planners (aka: need to see the inspiration in order to convince them to implement it into their own wedding) this post is for you! I recently had the joy of collaborating with Ultrapom and some local Kansas City wedding florists to do just that! Lauren from Ultrapom envisioned and crafted many various table setting designs, then we spent the afternoon shooting them!

This post will help you with mix and matching patterns, palette choice, glassware, florals & accent pieces! Below each grouping of images is a short description & tip for how you can apply some of the things you’ll see to your own wedding!

PRO TIP: Don’t be afraid to emphasis your main color! If your bridesmaid dress colors are blush, pull that into as many aspects of your reception as possible! Pink napkins, sheer blush runner, various tones of blush in your table bouquet! The more of your main color you have, the better your detail images will be!

PRO TIP: When thinking through your plating–layering ALWAYS elevates! Layer the charger, dinner plate, salad plate! Layer your napkin and your menu!

PRO TIP: Think outside the box when it comes to your charger! The easiest thing to do will be to go with a gold or silver one–but don’t be afraid to mix things up! What about a wicker one? Antique, geometric, marble, wood? I promise it will add personality and make your wedding stand out!

PRO TIP: Accent pieces don’t always have to be just in the florals! This table setting was centered around peaches! Think through the colors of your wedding as well as the season and then brainstorm ways you can pull accent pieces for the table that will give your table a bit of flare!

PRO TIP: Napkins don’t always have to be nice and neat on the table! Try letting them drape off the edge to add color and dynamic to each individual seat!

PRO TIP: This might be one of my favorites!!! Time to mix and match! This vintage setting gives me all the feels! Everything doesn’t have to match perfectly! Choose different pattern plates, different butter plates & vintage silverware that might not all look the same. Pick two different color glassware to give your table a pop! When done right, this one can be breathtaking!

PRO TIP: Many brides go with clear glassware (because it’s easiest to choose), but what if you brought black into the picture? Or another color that matches your theme? No longer would your glassware get lost in the mix of the rest of the table, but instead would make a statement!

PRO TIP: A very subtle change to this one, but one that completely transforms the table–a patterned runner! Getting a little bold with the table decor can be scary, but when you add a pop like this one, guests won’t help but talk about your tables!

PRO TIP: Last (but certainly not least) COLOR! Have I mentioned I love color?? Have your table setting make a statement by adding lots of color! If you’re going to do this, I would highly recommend keeping the rest of the table (plates, glassware, tablecloth, chargers) simple so as to not get too distracting! Let the colors in the bouquet saturate the scene with hue, intensity and charisma!
