Unlike Any Other Day | Mary + Matthew

In a calendar full of just the sames and every others–this day was unlike any other day.

This day she would say yes to the man who stole her heart.
This day he would commit once again to hold it safely forever.

This day they’d gather under white stoned cathedral.
This day they’d kiss under those same white stones for the first time as one.

This day their families would blend, their legacy form, their family begin.

This day they would hold hands.
But not like before.
This day they’d know that through joys, through sorrows, through every circumstance their future held–
The fingers that clasped their own would never let go.

This day she’d look at him now as his wife.
And he, her husband.

This day they’d spin.
And dance.
And celebrate.

Because this day was far from any other day.
This day was now their day…
