I love Alex and Michelle!
There is just no other way to say it! There’s no way around it and no denying it! I love their love for each other. I love their love for life! I love their love for others!!! They are the kind of couple that manifests what it means to be full of joy! They epitomize those who delight in each moment. They are refreshing to be around and remind me of why I love doing what I do!
Getting to be a part of their wedding–a part of this joy, of this love–made what I knew was going to be a long day on my feet fly by as I celebrated with them! Michelle was so cheerful yet at the same time so calm the morning she got ready. It was amazing really as I got to watch her purposefully take in each moment! She wasn’t the kind of bride that expected everyone to pamper her the morning of the wedding (although she had such wonderful bridesmaids and family around that she was), but as I stood back and took pictures I watched her serve others. She saw others and served them well. The day as a little girl every woman dreams about revolving around them, in such a graceful, loving way she came alongside the people there with her. Then her friends, sisters & relatives gathered around Michelle in a circle before she took Alex as her husband and prayed for her. They held hands showing that even though Alex and Michelle were about to become their own unit, they would never be alone.
And as much as Michelle was kind and beautiful and gracious, Alex was thoughtful and warm and outgoing. His excitement to become Michelle’s husband was so evident! His care for her throughout the day as he held her bouquet and carried the train of her dress as we took portraits. In practical ways throughout the day I watched him love Michelle–recognizing that this was a beautiful indicator of the man he will be as he leads their household. It’s always fun to see the dynamic of the wedding party knowing that these are the people closest to the bride and groom, the people that help shape who they are. I shouldn’t be surprised after describing Alex and Michelle to see a group of people so fun, unpretentious and easy to be around!
Oh what a JOY to meet their family, celebrate their union, capture their memories! Thank you Alex and Michelle for welcoming me in!!! I love my job because of you!!!!!
I love working with local vendors!!! They are what make a wedding great!
